    Pilot the Port of Lauwersoog

Goed nieuws: het Waddenfonds steunt onze pilot Lauwersoog met een flinke financiële bijdrage! Dat betekent dat we onze activiteiten in de haven van Lauwersoog versneld kunnen gaan opzetten. Samen met onze partners maken we de komende twee jaar van de haven dé plastic recycling hub van het Waddengebied: Fuse Hub!

We verzamelen en verwerken plastic afval uit de haven en het Waddengebied om er vervolgens bouwmaterialen van te maken die daar ter plekke weer gebruikt kunnen worden. Mogelijk ook in en om het nieuwe Werelderfgoedcentrum waar we mee samenwerken. De hub wordt ook een plek van ontmoeting, onderzoek en kennisdeling om mensen, jong en oud, te laten zien wat je kunt doen om het plasticafvalprobleem aan te pakken.

Lauwersoog is een van pilots die GPBO momenteel opzet om het Fuse-concept verder te ontwikkelen. Ons vooronderzoek is mede mogelijk gemaakt door de EcoPort Innovatiemotor.

Ons ultieme doel is om overal ter wereld mensen de mogelijkheid te bieden met onze mobiele Fuse-keukens aan de slag te gaan.

Our collaboration with the Port of Lauwersoog

The Port of Lauwersoog shares our vision of sustainability and circularity and offers us the opportunity to test our circular concept locally. Together with entrepreneurs and waste companies, we are testing our circular concept in the form of a pilot. For this purpose, we signed a letter of intent with port director Harm Post and drew up a plan of action, including a public campaign. The intention is to then bring the tested concept to other locations. We are in contact with organizations around the world and from different sectors that are interested in our solution.
